Croydon Writers have been around for over 70 years, being established in 1945. Members attend meetings on a monthly basis, with occasional additional events. Generally the group meets on the second Monday of each month. Croydon Writers is managed by a committee.
Croydon Writers publish a quarterly newsletter with material written by members.

Meetings of the group are held at the United Reformed Church near East Croydon Station. There is a tram stop 150 yards away, also numerous bus stops close by and there is parking on the church site. Currently there are around:
20 FULL MEMBERS and 20 COUNTRY MEMBERS
