Previous Meetings

Last night 10 members were present, we had five apologies. One new member signed up. Two other potential members did not make it. Heavy rain. The main thrust of the session dealt with writing in general as we focused on individual members favoured genre. The discussion was wide-ranging. We finished by looking at the value of bathos and pathos in writing. Then a further unplanned final interlude fell to a discussion around poetry writing. We resolved to each send in a poem to the chair who would make a compilation for all the membership to comment on at the next meeting (Country Members will be invited to send in poems and comments ), with the whole, or a chunk of the time being spent on the advantages, challenges and joys of poetry and how we write or compose our poems.
